The newest Honbo location has recently opened its doors in Macau's state-of-the-art Grand Lisboeta shopping mall, making it the Hong Kong-made brand's first regional venture beyond the city. Situated just an hour's ferry ride away, this new Honbo outlet, artfully designed by JJ Acuna / Bespoke Studio, pays homage to its original shop situated in Wanchai's Star Street district. Adorning the mall-facing entry is the iconic Honbo-style blue and white facade with oak detailing, evoking the charm of the first shop.
Honbo Macau proudly embraces the signature design elements that define the brand, including the iconic Honbo Blue, Oak timber features, metal mesh detailing, ceramic tiles, crisp white walls, concrete finishing, and vibrant neon lights, consistently found across all Honbo locations. Drawing inspiration from the iconic White Castle hamburger shops of the United States in the early 1930s, the interior design exudes a sleek and streamlined aesthetic.
Within the spacious interior of Honbo Macau, you'll find a well-equipped full kitchen, a captivating show bar, a Vitsoe Retail station, non-traditional banquette seats, basketball stadium step seating, shared cafeteria-style dining tables, and the distinctive pendant lamps designed by Michael Young – a hallmark feature present in all other Honbo locations. The seamless fusion of the original Honbo shop with this new outlet beautifully unites the brand's spatial identity and narrative, creating a fully realised and cohesive concept and project.
Guests and visitors to Macau can now indulge in a delectable array of offerings at Honbo Macau. From gourmet burgers crafted with high-quality ingredients to Hand-Cut Fries that are freshly prepared and fried to perfection, along with Crunchy and battered Onion Rings, Classic milkshakes available in various flavours, and a selection of Craft Beverages and beers to complement the dining experience, Honbo Macau promises a delightful feast for the senses.
