First opening its doors back in 2013, Little Bao is settled along the fringe of Hong Kong’s bustling SoHo district. As a vibrant point of intersection where food, drinks and culture meet, the establishment has since become a favorite dinner spot among tourists and locals alike. As a humble, 20-seat diner, Little Bao provides an intimate environment where one can enjoy delectable fusion delicacies that seamlessly bring together an array of culinary influences — a true East meets West experience.
Little Bao now heads to Bangkok, where it will be opening its first-ever location in Thailand. Right from the get-go, fans of the restaurant will recognize the brand’s famed pink neon sign in the shape of a rather adorable “buddha baby.” For its new Thailand-based restaurant, design studio JJA/Bespoke Architecture by James JJ Acuna, collaborates with branding consultant Olivia Pong and graphic designers Entendre Studio for a space that harks back to the glamor of Old World Chinese cafes and Hong Kong’s nostalgic ’80s pop aesthetic. With the use of Red Cherry timbers, white and grey terrazzo floors, and low-sitting dining seats, the overall mood of the restaurant is a perfect complement to its eclectic menu.
